Lower Ninth Ward, New Orleans, La.

Mississippi

Chalmette, Louisiana

There's an ADT truck on top of this garage.

There are nine houses here which were washed across the canal during the storm.

One of the houses ended up blocking the road and had to be cut in half.

The oak doors to this church were blown through by water and all the pews were pushed to the front. The stained glass windows went almost untouched.

This garage is not in its original location.

This eerie ice cream truck was the only traffic for hours.

We were told we could find SnoBalls if we went "just down the road, a half a mile past the Burger King with a semi on it".

There was a 75 foot Shrimp Boat down the road from where we were working. It belongs 8 miles away in NOEast.

There was a station wagon in the front yard across the street.

This flag isn't waving in the wind, it's been through a lot. That's a FEMA trailer in the background.

K=Katrina, if you didn't get that.

All of these were around the block from our church.

That boat shouldn't be on that fence.

Many of these houses were condemned.

That garage has also moved. These people have not been back.

This was the front yard of our church.

Adullum Christian Fellowship feeds, clothes, and gives water to about 400 people a day. It's a very important ministry in an area without running water, electricity, or traffic lights.
